    AWE have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controls and Compliance Analyst to join our growing team.

    Location - Reading / Basingstoke Area

    Salary starting at £36,000 dependant on experience

    You will be monitoring compliance with AWE's Internal Financial Control Framework, ensuring key controls and KPIs are robust and fit for purpose.

    • Working with ICAF Process with relevant stakeholders
    • Ensuring key internal financial controls are appropriately documented and communicated
    • Engaging with Process and Control Owners
    • Responsible for dealing with Audit findings
    • Monitoring compliance with the financial Delegation of Authority
    • Communicating changes to Finance processes, policies and procedures (i.e. AWE Travel & Expenses Policy, Downward Delegation Procedure)
    • Co-ordinating National Audit Office (NAO) audit queries within the Finance team
    • Providing evidence to support responses to NAO audit queries
    • Ensuring adherence to SSRO Qualifying Defence Contractor Defence Contractor statutory requirements
    • Working with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement business system improvements

    We would like you to have:

    • Financial experience with accounting qualifications
    • Have or be studying towards AAT
    • Experience of interaction with auditors or MOD finance
    • Experience with the Sarbanes Oxley Financial Compliance Framework (FCA)

    Willing to obtain the security clearance required for this role.
