Millennium Doors System, part of MBP Group, are seeking an individual to gain a full working understanding of the business including all aspects of machinery. Have a proactive approach to the role, with a view to execute and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This position is suitable for experienced individuals wanting a new challenge, or those wanting to progress their career within the industry. Full and ongoing training will be provided throughout for the right applicant. Salary is dependant on experience. This is a full time position for 40 hours a week Monday - Friday, but flexibility is required to meet customer demand which may include weekend work. Key responsibilities and performance measures for this role: Assessment, diagnosis and repair of equipment as required to maintain production build plan Completion of annual Planned Maintenance plan Supervise contractors to carry out occasional work from time to time Maintain accurate records of work carried out on all equipment Carry out TPM routines for every production section Carry out all refurbishment work as required Utilise downtime periods to effectively overhaul equipment Assist in redesign of processes as required Carry out routine maintenance and machine refurbishment or upgrades as required to keep the machinery or equipment fit for purpose Re-locate and install equipment as required Identify machinery / equipment not fit for purpose and propose cost effective solutions to ensure activity can still be carried out Ensure all work that is undertaken is completed safely and with relevant authorisation Comply with the Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company health and safety policy, and ensure that any specific responsibilities are adequately delegated in their absence. .and any other duties required to support the achievement of the Company s objectives Minimum Qualifications / Experience required: C&G (or similar) in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience Time served apprentice in a Technical discipline or equivalent experience Practical knowledge of control systems and PLC s Good mechanical knowledge Diagnostic methodology for repair of electrical, electronic hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical faults Key behavioural competencies: High degree of flexibility and initiative Ability to listen and communicate across all departments Confident and accurate decision maker Calm, clear thinker even when under pressure Practical and hands on Awareness of manufacturing pressures and needs to keep equipment operating Additional skill requirements: Good sense of urgency and responsiveness to repair situations Please click APPLY, to submit your CV for this role.
