We are supporting one of our major corporate clients with the recruitment of a Junior Buyer. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to embark on a career within buying. Main purpose of the role; To support the Buying Manager by working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to promote growth through sales, while supporting with managing the category P&L. Key aspects of the job; Create a business plan to implement a strategy that delivers the needs of the clients. Come up with new ideas on how to promote sales. Work hand in hand with the supply chain to ensure product availability in store in maintained. Analyse market trends and competitor activity. Work collaboratively with the Finance, Marketing, Business Development and Operations departments of the end client. Requirements for the role; Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relations within various departments of a business. Good understanding the magazine and news industry. Good analytical skills with strong numeric abilities. Have an adaptive mindset with the ability to multi-task and think on your feet.
