    Job Title: SEND Classroom Support Assistant for Child living with Autism

    School: All-through school in Aston

    Location: Aston, Birmingham

    Job Type: Full-time, Ongoing

    Salary: £85 - £90 per day

    King Solomon International Business School is a leading educational institution committed to providing exceptional learning opportunities to a diverse community of students. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide essential 1:1 support to a child living with Autism.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the designated child, providing personalized support and assistance in their educational and social development.
    • Implement individualized strategies and interventions as outlined by the special education team.
    • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
    • Foster the child's independence, confidence, and academic progress through tailored teaching techniques and approaches.
    • Assist the child in developing social skills and building positive relationships with peers.
    • Observe and assess the child's progress, identifying areas of improvement and reporting to the appropriate team members.
    • Provide assistance with personal care tasks, as needed, in a sensitive and respectful manner.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the child's progress, behavior, and support strategies.
    • Attend relevant training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

    Requirements:

    • Relevant qualifications or certifications in Special Education, Teaching Assistance, or a related field will be a strong advantage.
    • Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly desirable.
    • A genuine passion for working with children and a strong commitment to their well-being and development.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
    • Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
    • A proactive and flexible approach to adapt to the child's individual needs and learning style.
    • Basic knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
    • A DBS check or willigness to apply
