    Are you a marine consultant with a background in consents and permitting for offshore wind projects? Perhaps you have previous experience working on offshore or onshore projects and want to be involved with some of the largest and most exciting infrastructure development projects in the UK?     GoBe consultants, part of the APEM group, are actively recruiting an Offshore Wind Compliance Consultant to be part of our growing team!

    About the role

    As a compliance consultant, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most exciting infrastructure development projects in the UK. Your responsibilities will include leading on stakeholder and client engagement, interfacing across projects with key stakeholders including client consent, engineering and environmental management teams. You will focus on consent compliance management and delivery during the post-consent, pre-construction, and construction phases of an offshore wind project, leading on activities such as licencing and consent amendments where required.

    As you progress in this role, you will become a trusted member of the project team and be able to work independently and support larger multi-disciplinary teams. You may also have the opportunity to progress your career and expand your experience in areas such as site selection, development consent application, and EIA delivery. This is a chance to be part of an innovative and dynamic team, working as part of an environmental and planning consultancy who are transforming our infrastructure.

    About you

    You will have:

    • Professional experience in HSE or consent management for major infrastructure developments in the marine environment
    • Experience with marine compliance auditing, compliance, reporting etc.
    • Competence in the use of Microsoft Office (in particular Word and Excel) and PDF software
    • Attention to detail, including excellent written and oral communication, organisational and time management skills
    • A professional manner with strong inter-personal skills and an ability to communicate at all levels
    • Self-motivated with an inquisitive mind and an ability to work under own initiative with a solution orientated approach
    • Enthusiastic, reliable and willing to learn
    • An interest in project management skills in the context of project delivery

    Desirable

    • A degree (preferably MSc) in a relevant subject
    • Experience in HSE or consent management for offshore wind projects
    • Environmental consultancy or developer experience
    • Appreciation of marine renewable energy technologies / coastal development and an understanding of the interaction of such development with the receiving environment;
    • An understanding of the importance of client needs (e.g. strategic advice, quality, programme, communication, finance).
