    Sales and Commercial Director £80,000 - £110,000 basic salary depending on experience Car allowance - £7,000 Company bonus of up to 30% Matched corporate pension 24 days leave + 8 Bank Holidays Phone & Laptop Location: Home-based covering a UK-wide remit The ideal applicant will be based in central England ATA Search is working in partnership on a confidential and retained assignment with a leading supplier of manufactured products that are sold via a branch distribution network. This £multi-million business unit generates more than £50m in annual sales with 250 staff, occupying over 60 branches and distribution outlets spread across the UK. Financially secure, this business unit is also part of a larger group that increased annual sales by 25% post-pandemic. They have a strong value proposition by supplying ethically manufactured products that support the group s overall sustainability and carbon reduction program. The successful Sales and Commercial Director will need to demonstrate a proven record in successfully leading sales and commercial business growth with strong leadership acumen. Both strategic and hands-on, you will lead all sales and commercial activities and manage a complex and integrated business model across a matrix structure to increase turnover and sales margin. For further information on this confidential assignment, please email an up-to-date CV and contact number to Key Accountabilities: The sales & commercial leadership and delivery of a +£50m sales budget for a leading distribution business Manage product sales via the branch distribution network by developing and implementing commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.) Understanding the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing) Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service etc.) Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management/Board Analyse and review sales margins and maximise profits. Set commercial sales strategies, review commercial contracts and increase sales margins Secure growth and profitability whilst managing a low-margin and high-volume mix business Set and execute a strategy to increase productivity, sales and margin whilst increasing the branch distribution network Day-to-day commercial decision-making Pricing, price changes, commercial negotiations, rebates and customer product demand management Requirements: An experienced Sales Director, Sales & Marketing Director, Commercial Director, Sales & Commercial Director, Trading Director or a sales & marketing professional looking to take a step up A proven history of sales and commercial management within a merchant, branch distribution business is a prerequisite Demonstrate that you have had enough cross-functional leadership experience as an agile sales and commercial business leader who can manage a complex, integrated group business within a matrix structure BSc/BA in business administration, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus Experienced in sales performance reporting, outstanding communication and leadership skills Willing to travel extensively throughout the UK, ideally centrally located in England How to apply: Please click apply or for further information or please contact Ajay Bhella at ATA Search by emailing an up-to-date copy of your CV to ATA Search specialises in Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Civil, Transportation and General Engineering recruitment on both a permanent and contract basis for more opportunities like this one, visit our website.
