AWS are deploying operational technology at the heart of its business to solve complex technical challenges and to create opportunities for efficiency. Doing this brings together the worlds of IT, Operational Technology (OT), TCP/IP networks and the operational management of water and water recycling treatment centres. This technology convergence brings with it a host of cyber threats and the OT Security Analyst role will be responsible for all aspects of assessing and managing risk across the full lifecycle of an OT asset.

The role holder will be expected to have a fundamental understanding of the operational side of a water and sewerage company along with a solid understanding of the need for OT.
The role will provide risk assessment and remediation consulting, advice and reports whilst ensuring that AWG's OT is designed in line with developing best practice - notably IEC62443 and the NIS Regulation. The role will ensure that cyber risk is reduced to a level that matches the company's risk appetite and to ensure that individual activities do not exceed the company's risk tolerance.
The role holder will be expected to have an interest in the cyber risks associated with technology, enterprise IT, networking, specifically in the context of industrial sites and utilities.
The OT Security Analyst will lead security engagement sessions around the business to ensure that security responsibilities are understood by all those who can influence the security of OT. The role includes supporting the broader Anglian Water Business Group to deliver compliance activities relating to OT cyber security management standards.
