Maintenance Assistant - Biomass Power Station Barry Competitive Salary + Benefits Introduction We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to join the Maintenance department of an Biomass Power Station in Boston. You will be to providing support to the front-line maintenance team at the facility. Roles & Responsibilities Your duties as a Maintenance Assistant will include reporting to the Maintenance Manager and you will be responsible for: Assisting the maintenance team in carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of plant including: boilers, gearboxes, valves, compressors, pumps, fans, LV electrical systems etc. Contributing to the CMMS, inputting data from maintenance works and receiving new jobs and work orders. Assisting with ensuring all the maintenance equipment is regularly checked and compliant with all Health and Safety regulations, and defects are reported quicky Assisting with plant outages and the associated maintenance works Working with engineering drawings such as P&IDs Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within the workshop and throughout the facility Knowledge, Skills and Experience We are looking for someone with the following: A relevant technical qualification such as a City & Guilds Level 2/Apprenticeship would be beneficial but not essential. A thorough understanding of health and safety and the ability to learn quickly within a team. Experience working with CMMS would be advantageous but not essential. Ability to follow written instructions and keep records.
