    If you have experience in leading EI&C development of key production equipment, then we would love to hear from you! To be suitable for this role you will be a strong project planner with a relevant degree in either Electrical, Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation and Control or Mechanical Engineering. You will be given the freedom to develop improvement opportunities and therefore a solution driven mindset is essential for this vacancy. Start: ASAP Location: North Cambridge Salary: £DOE Hours: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday Duration: Permanent Benefits: 25 days Holiday + 8 bank holidays, life assurance 4 x your salary, healthcare insurance benefit, pension, up to 10% off railcards for being based on the science park in Cambridge Duties: Leading the EI&C development of key production equipment Create control and automation concepts and steer projects in their planning and implementation phases until completion of site acceptance testing Support production by understanding the involved processes Developing improvement opportunities Creation of control and automation concepts Execution of prototype builds and tests Identification and working with specialised external equipment manufacture companies Creation of P&I flow charts and sizing of EI&C components incl. safety relevant components Programming of PLCs Designing of user interfaces Failure analysis and rectification Coordination of contractors and other external partners Creation and maintaining technical documentation Knowledge and Experience: Degree in relevant subject Proven experience in EI&C automation of manufacturing equipment Knowledge about project and contractor management Know how about key requirements of occupational health in the automation of electrical equipment Excellent analytical skills and ability to create business case studies Ability to persuade others to change existing practices Ability to be flexible in the work you carry out and area you work in Attention to detail and a quality driven mentality Desirable: PLC (TrioMotion, Omron, Mitsubishi, Red Lion (HMI), Siemens) and ethernet connection experience Experience in working with glass (preferably quartz), gasses and burners and/or refractory metals (preferably tungsten) Experience of working with SAP Experience of working in a lean manufacturing environment If you have not received a response within 3-5 working days, unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
