Our consultants deliver public cloud focused consulting services, providing a mix of design and hands-on implementation. You will have experience of public cloud architectures and migration strategies.
You will have a good understanding of the different factors which influence or inhibit Cloud adoption and will be able to guide clients to make the right choices.
As a technical advisory Azure Architect, youll be working with a varied mix of clients and wide range of projects. Youll be delivering work at high and low level; Shaping, strategy, technical design and on the tools. Every project will present a different challenge; so, if you are enthusiastic and adaptable, this is an opportunity for you to thrive.
The position offers the option of fully remote working but will require some occasional travel to client sites or to CGI offices.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Due to the varied nature of the role, its impossible to list all the responsibilities, skills and experience but typically our cloud and infrastructure consultants:
Have established, broad technical skills with SME knowledge in one or more specialist areas
Have experience working with a range of different project and architecture methodologies and frameworks (Agile Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, TOGAF, RCDA etc.)
Have experience implementing and working with modern IT practices, tools, and philosophies such as DevOps, DevSecOps, infrastructure as code
Quickly develop close working relationships and engage with others at an appropriate level
Empathise, understand client requirements, and align the solution/technology with the desired outcome
Manage stakeholders at all levels and balance risk vs reward vs cost
Identify opportunities for improvement and follow-on work
Bring fresh ideas based on past successes (and failures) from previous engagements to new scenarios
Are self-managed, motivated, and can work independently
Support the development of other team members by knowledge sharing and mentoring.
