In your new Caretaker role you can say goodbye to the alarm clock in an organisation devoted to the learning, progression and early stage development to some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

Based in Newton-le-Willows we have a great opportunity for a Caretaker to look after a single school site (Growing to 2 in January 2024) providing quality handy work across the schools premises. Due to the role being in a school a full DBS check will take place and we are looking for someone with experience working in similar 'live site' environments.

As an experienced Caretaker/Handyperson you understand what you're day to day will look like; working from 10am- 6pm on a standard 40 hour week completing classroom upgrades, testing fire alarms & water hygiene, ensuring school grounds remain clean and tidy alongside locking the place up at night.

With a team of 6 others (1 Caretaker 5 Domestic staff) supporting you we're looking for a real people person who can work well with others and keep the premises compliant with current regulations. The culture here is like no other, it's a friendly bunch and everyone in the team is always ready to lend a hand.

Package

£22k-£23.2k Basic salary

Extra £3k from on-call standby + any call-outs (2 weeks on/off)

22 days holiday increasing to 25, then 28
