A Senior Ecologist opportunity has come available in the Cheshire area to be office/home based and have a real focus on technical delivery and project management of renewable projects from small scale through to National Signifiacnt Infrastcuture Projects. You will have the opportunity to come in as a Senior Ecologist and to work for a well-respected independent Ecology Consultancy but with a reputation that enables to leverage huge renewable projects. Duties as a Senior Ecologist will principally involve stakeholder negotiations, project management covering all aspects of preliminary ecological appraisal, targeted protected species surveys, EIA, ecological clerk of works and the associated technical report writing. To progress as a Senior Ecologist, you will be based within the Cheshire area (as well as hybrid working) and will need to have: Relevant degree in ecology or directly related subject Relevant consultancy experience with a strong focus on preliminary ecological assessments, Phase 1 ecological surveys, EIA and planning support. Excellent understanding of UK nature conservation legislation, including environmental impact assessments and planning guidance. Excellent report writing and project management skills. Proven experience of working in a team delivering projects on-time and to tight deadlines.
