    We are looking for a Teacher of Health and Social Care to teach at a school in Leeds from September 2023 on a permanent basis. This is a 3 day a week role. You should possess an energetic and enthusiastic teaching style, and be able to present learning in an accessible way to the students. You should possess considerable subject knowledge and experience of teaching pupil's aged 11 to 18 years. As a Secondary Teacher you will: Plan effective lessons so students can reach their potential Keep abreast of developments in the world of education Work well with your colleagues to help coordinate lessons Design effective classroom resources Be able to adapt teaching methods that cater for students' varying needs and interests. Provide a safe and healthy environment and follow safeguarding procedures. Attend meetings, parent's evenings and teacher training programmes. Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their child/children's progress and determine priorities and resource needs. Taking responsibility for the progress and tracking the development of all pupil's concerning health and social care, feeding this information back to parents and the Head of Department. Organise subject outings, after school clubs, exam revision classes or school social activities. Perform administrative and supervisory duties such as assisting in school libraries, hall, cafeteria and playground monitoring.
