Challenge-trg Recruitment are currently seeking a Central Transport Finance Coordinator for a 6-month FTC to join a well-known UK established retailer at their Daventry Depot, CV238BQ
Your working hours would be Monday to Friday 8:00am-16:00 (45 mins lunch break); this position can also become Hybrid 2-3 days working from home.
Salary 25,000 plus benefits
The successful candidate will be responsible for the purchase order processes alongside financial reporting, other finance administration and investigation and resolution of invoicing/purchase order queries. The role holder will also carry out other administrative support tasks for the general planning operations.
Role and responsibilities
Ownership of the site purchase order processes and responsible for raising Purchase Orders to suppliers to ensure accurate and timely payment
Preparation of financial reports by collating daily and weekly information and validating this with depots and third parties
Internal KPI reporting
Communicating effectively daily with internal and external customers
Collate, monitor, input and report on data relating to internal transport operations
Liaise with third parties and depots to resolve day-to-day operational issues and resolve invoicing/purchase order queries
Contributing towards the improvement of processes/methods of operating practises within the department
Other general finance administration support as required
Assisting colleagues within the team on an ad-hoc basis
Requirements
Excellent attention to detail with good reporting and analytical skills.
Previous financial experience is desirable
Oracle system experience desirable, MS Excel skills essential
Ability to communicate and influence effectively
Motivated to be able to work under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills and confident in dealing with problems and challenges
Ability to work as part of a team with a positive attitude
Must have a flexible and adaptable approach to demands and changes in work activity
