One of our most successful Private Housebuilding clients are looking to source a Timber Frame Technician our team in either the Glasgow or Elgin area. The successful candidate would be part of an experienced team 1000 kits and associate floor cassettes increasing annually in line within the business. Reporting to the Senior Timber Frame Technician, the successful candidate will use AutoCAD and AutoCAD based programmes to design timber frame structures. Key responsibilities include: - Design input and checking of floor joist - Roof truss and steel designs - As well as general department administrative duties - Candidates will be able to demonstrate initiative, good team working skills and have a proven ability to work to deadlines. - A good eye for design and detailing and also an ability to visualise and work in 3D would be beneficial. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous. Experience of working with Auto Cad and MS Office suite is essential. A good working knowledge of a timber frame design software. Timber frame design awareness combined with a proven capability for producing quality drawings. Effective communication skills. Able to recognise the importance of following procedures associated with Company, Buildmark and Local Authority technical requirements.
