Devon Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is a well-established, lively and thriving EP community, that is undergoing an exciting period of development having recently re-joined Devon County Council. The EPS contributions at a strategic and practice level are well respected. In order to deliver on the strategic priorities for education and learning and the local SEND improvement plan, 4 new Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist (EP) posts have been created, alongside main grade EP posts and new Graduate Psychologist posts. We welcome applications from experienced EPs as well as from year 2 & 3 trainees. Our service focus is Applying psychology creatively to benefit children and young people in Devon throughout our work Delivering traded services primarily using our new Psychology Works Consultation Package Specialist Senior EP led practice promoting Attendance and Belonging; Relational Approaches; Cognition and Learning and Early Years Adding to well-established evidence-based projects which improve outcomes for Children with Care Experience, children at risk of exclusion and children experiencing EBSA Ensuring that all EPs can be involved in specialist areas of work Further opportunities for collaborative working with other colleagues across Children s Services, Health and Social Care This is the role - Main grade educational psychologist To work as an applied Educational Psychologist supporting children, schools and Families from 0-25 within an area of Devon and contribute to Devon initiatives and priorities To support the successful inclusion of children who are vulnerable or have SEND through the provision of high-quality traded and core psychological service to parents/carers, staff in schools and settings and other professionals Deliver training to school staff/ other professionals to support inclusive practice in schools Co-produce services and solutions based on parent/ carer and child lived experiences To undertake research that supports inclusive practice in schools To contribute to the training of Trainee EPs on placement with the EPS, including as a supervisor These are the benefits Aside from the sense of satisfaction and pride in a rewarding job, we offer an attractive package of benefits, including: 43 days annual leave a year (plus bank holidays) Attractive Local Government Pension Scheme - 23.9% employers contributions Paid HCPC registration Well-structured induction programme which is positively evaluated Personal and professional development opportunities High quality individual supervision distinct from line management Excellent IT equipment and support Paid HCPC registration We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and applicants must share this commitment.
