An engineering business in Leicestershire are on the lookout for a Strategic Buyer to join their growing Procurement & Supply Chain team. They have significant growth plans over the next 5 years. Their product focuses on innovation and is made with one eye firmly on the future.

Ideally, you'll already be CIPS Level 3/4 qualified. However, they're keen on internal development and progression, so you'll be supported with funding on your journey to MCIPS.

Day to day you'll be getting involved in:

• Supplier selection activity including RFQ/P preparation.
• Analysing supplier performance.
• Developing category strategies.
• Supporting in delivery of NPI projects.
• Contributing to operational efficiency.

In order to be successful, exposure to both direct and indirect categories within a manufacturing/engineering environment will be massively helpful.

Having experience with ERP systems and working with BOMs will also be key.

If you're an experienced procurement professional who is keen to get more exposure to the strategy/project side of buying, this could be right up your street.
