Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day running of ICT facilities, systems, and infrastructure in the School and across the Harpur Trust Office
- Undertake general tasks to promote the use of ICT for education and development of students and employees
- Provide first, second, and some third line technical support for students, school, and Harpur Trust staff
- Carry out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes to restore service
- Review, identify, and resolve security vulnerabilities
- Manage patch management and regular infrastructure firmware and software/operating system updates
- Utilize Microsoft Intune for mobile device management and device compliance
- Assist or take a lead on the maintenance and development of other School and Harpur Trust IT systems and projects

As the Senior IT Support Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our IT service desk. You will provide technical support for students, school, and Harpur Trust staff, taking ownership of issues and implementing solutions to restore service as quickly as possible. In addition, you will be responsible for managing security vulnerabilities, patch management, mobile device management, and software/OS deployment.
To be successful in this role, you should have a good working knowledge of desktop computer, laptop, smartphone/tablet hardware devices and configuration, network and computer security concepts, and troubleshooting. You should also have at least two years of experience in an ICT support role and possess a relevant Microsoft or industry recognized qualification.
Due to the rapidly changing nature of technology, a flexible and adaptable attitude to change is essential. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop a solid grounding in all aspects of ICT in a stimulating environment and would be ideal for someone who eventually wants to supervise an IT technical team.
