    Salary: NJC Outer London - Grade 6 Scale Point 18-20 (£33,242 - £33,957)
    Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:15 am - 4:15 pm with flexibility)

    Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer to join their Operations team. Working closely with the School Business Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient administrative functioning of our HR department. This role encompasses various HR tasks including recruitment, onboarding, absence management, probation, and maintaining the school's Single Central Record (SCR).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage recruitment processes from start to finish, including onboarding procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records in HR systems and oversee absence management.
    • Ensure adherence to safer recruitment practices and staff safeguarding checks.
    • Uphold knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation.
    • Oversee the school's SCR and ensure its accuracy and compliance.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management for record-keeping and report generation.
    • Facilitate induction and probation systems effectively.

    Essential Qualifications and Skills:

    • A solid understanding of HR practices within an educational setting.
    • Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, and HR systems.
    • Familiarity with absence management policies and related procedures.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently.
    • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
    • Proactive problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach.
    • Resilience, calm demeanor, and a good sense of humor.

    Requirements:

    • Previous HR experience, preferably within a school environment.
    • Ability to work independently under pressure while meeting deadlines.
    • Focus on the impact and outcomes of HR activities.
