In this role you will be responsible for the design, build and running of a team which will provide comprehensive operational support and also a clear roadmap and direction for the development and improvement of all Corporate Systems. The role will take direct ownership of HMLRs Oracle Fusion team, a newly formed team bringing together previous teams into 1 centralised specialist team.
Systems in scope, currently include Oracle Fusion, Anaplan, LIMS and workforce planning. You will build a blueprint for a support model which may then widen to include other systems used by the entire organisation, such as productivity tools. The post-holder will set the strategic direction for supplier and contract management in a digitally evolving corporate systems environment.
You will ensure the performance of their function meets organisational requirements and complies with policies, actively promoting a continuous improvement culture and will build and maintain effective working relationships with senior stakeholders.

Person specificationTo be successful in this role you will have the ability to translate business requirements into a solution design and work with partners to support the development. Have a strong understanding of system interactions and processes. Can lead and oversee complex strategic systems change programme and understand and integrate data to map, produce, transform and test new products. Have significant strategic and inclusive leadership and management experience, with credibility, authenticity, and ability to build strong relationships with Senior Stakeholders, up to Director level within HMLR & other organisations. Experience of development of IT strategic plans and able to deliver results through multi-disciplinary teams and to negotiate effectively at senior levels. Ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with both internal and external service providers and lead teams to deliver a quality service. Champion and promote service improvements on an ongoing basis to continually improve quality and customer satisfaction. Through analysis of service metrics and key performance indicators, identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Have experience in successfully leading and developing a business function through change.
