    A fantastic organisation, based in Greenford, is looking for an Administrator to work in their IT department, providing support to the IT team. No experience in IT is required, the role is an administrative one, taking calls to the department, logging them and passing on to engineers. The other main element is looking after the IT assets, keeping track of current equipment and ordering in new equipment. This opportunity requires good communication and organisational skills.

    Hours 8.30 - 5.00

    Key responsibilities

    • Attendance of telephone calls to the IT department
    • Point of contact for support calls and providing end users with assistance where possible
    • Logging calls onto helpdesk and assigning calls to engineers
    • Daily management / prioritisation of helpdesk calls
    • Hardware / software asset management
    • Liaison with engineers to ensure there are no outstanding calls logged
    • Provide basic end user support on a first line basis; e.g. simple e-mail problems, MS Office Apps etc.
    • Procure Mobile devices, set them up then arrange deliveriesllections and maintain records
    • Performing IT inductions to new employees
    • Input, prepare and administer purchase orders
    • Purchasing of IT hardware e.g. scanners, projectors, servers etc
    • Check and verify receipt of orders
    • Check Invoices, collate relevant paperwork and pass for payment
    • Work closely with accounts and suppliers to ensure goods are paid on time
    • Verify & update invoice detail and asset information
    • Co-ordinate materials acquisition for IT tasks
    • Typing, filing and other general administration duties
    • Dispatch IT hardware for couriers
    • Co-ordinate Software licence management and support contracts
    • Ensure completion of user setup forms
    • Confident negotiator in procure IT equipment from multiple suppliers

    Experience/skills

    • Exceptional organisational skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • IT Literate - email, word and excel.
    • Knowledge of software licensing would be advantageous
    • Any Helpdesk or Telecoms experience would be a plus
