    Are you an experienced Plant & Machinery Engineer, looking to for a new and exciting opportunity, to join an established, successful dealership with a network of branches across the South West region ?

    Role - Service Maintenance Engineer

    Salary - £15 to £17 per hour, depending on experience & qualifications, plus overtime and bonus.

    Working hours - Friday 08.00 - 16.30 standard + overtime, call and weekends as/when demands

    The Business

    A family owned and owner managed Plant & Machinery Dealership. Attributing its success to the company policy of providing world class service through the mindset of "Growing the business, by delighting our customers". Through its specialist sales, parts and service teams, they have been proudly supplying and maintaining machinery for over 40 years. Through a network of 6 depots across the South West and South Wales Territory.

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Service, repair and maintain plant & machinery equipment to the manufactures specifications and to ensure machine reliability and safety.
    • Have a keen eye for detail, reporting machine defects and upselling the the businesses services wherever possible. This also comes with financial benefit for the candidate for all opportunities created.
    • Successfully diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, powertrain and various other faults prior to initiating and completing a repair.
    • Complete a detailed report of work completed along with supporting photographs and all allocated times via in house Service Manager personal tablet system.
    • Complete risk assessments in line with company health and safety policy and ensure safe working practices are in place at all times.
    • Accurately ordering parts with the parts department
    • Working closely with the service department and management team
    • Any other duties as deemed necessary to fulfil the role

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Relevant experience and qualifications e.g. City and Guild, NVQ Level 3 qualifications or equivalent to or greater than
    • Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment
    • Good IT Skills
    • Experience - knowledge and experience of a variety of machinery ideally in the construction or agricultural industry.
    • Relationship Builder - Ability to interact with customers and develop/build a relationship that ultimately delivers a positively satisfying experience.
    • Communication - Ability to deliver appropriate communication both internally and externally to allow planning and continued work to be effectively completed.
    • Time Management - Ability to set timescales to own tasks to enable completion of duties and to ensure all tasks are carried out with a level of urgency and within a timely manner, whilst not compromising safety.
    • Presentation - Present a professional image at all times.
    • Must carry a full driving licence as well have the ability to operate machinery on site for testing purposes (training can be given to the right candidate)
