    A bit about the role

    If you are strategic thinker motivated by having a real impact on the built environment, this is the role for you. Working in the Homes England central strategy team will put you at the heart of delivering on Government's ambitious housing, regeneration and levelling up ambitions. You will join Homes England's central strategy team, which forms part of the Strategy, Research, Analysis and Sponsorship (SRAS) Unit. The team plays a critical role in the interface between policy and delivery, translating Government housing and regeneration priorities into delivery strategies and the Agency's operations. The team works between the fast-paced political realm of Whitehall and the longer-term world of delivering housing and regeneration projects. The team is highly collaborative, working in partnership with Homes England's delivery teams, government and industry.

    Reporting to the Senior Strategy Manager, much of your work will focus on informing and advising the Executive Leadership Team and the Homes England Board through written and verbal briefings. You will be responsible for managing processes that build consensus among senior leaders, so that the Agency can continue deliver against Government's stated policy objectives. You'll also support the co-ordination of cross-agency projects and work with other colleagues to support the development of new housing interventions. Externally, you will represent the agency in policy forums and joint working groups, and act as a point of liaison and connection between policy teams and subject matter experts in the Agency.

    A bit about you

    You will be an excellent strategic thinker, creative problem solver and communicator, calm under pressure and accustomed to "spinning several plates" at once. You will be a team player, skilled at building and maintaining positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate with and persuade others.

    Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn't always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable interacting with stakeholders at a senior level. You will have experience providing decision makers with high quality analysis and information and be skilled at communicating complex issues in an easily understood way. You will bring to your work a spirit of humility and a passion for public service.
