Due to continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Business Development Lead. This role will be based at our Head office in Ipswich. You will play a key role in identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, expanding our client base, building strong relationships and driving sustainable growth, whilst monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation. Other main duties include: Target new client contacts and develop relationships that deliver business opportunities. Work with the Main Board and Regional Directors to identify and implement strategic business relationships with other contractors and suppliers. Support the overall goals and strategies of the business. Identify and report on key opportunity areas and future trends within the civil engineering industry. Ensure existing key client relationships are monitored and strengthened to maximise opportunities. Are you the person we are looking for? You will have a proven track record in business development within the construction industry with an understanding of construction processes, industry sectors and client needs. Reporting directly to the board, you will have exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence decision makers, be self-motivated, with an ability to work independently or as part of a team.
