An Early Years Teacher (EYT) is employed to work within our pre-school area, leading, developing and extending our practice.
The position will be required term time only, 3 or 4 days per week, approximately 8 hour days (days and timings are negotiable).
A minimum of 24 hours per week up to a maximum of 32 hours per week. Pay to reflect weekly hours.
Qualified Early Years Teacher
Experience in an early years setting
Knowledge of Record Keeping and being a Key Worker
Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Main Daily Duties of the Post
To lead the pre-school team and others in the support and planning the curriculum and looking at reflective practice in our pre-school room.
To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with your team reflective of the EYFS
Motivate and stimulate the children's learning abilities, encourage learning through experience and extend a child's learning through appropriate activities and play.
To ensure all areas of learning are incorporated into the everyday practice of the pre-school.
Continuously make observation, assessments and record each child's progress.
Use your initiative to make adaptations to the physical environment to ensure the best outcomes for all children.
To ensure that Jubilee Day Nurseries policies, procedures and working practices are adhered to and the necessary standards of care and development are continually delivered.
To recognise and assist in identifying training needs of the staff in your area, liaise with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Managers to plan, lead, implement and develop, ensuring that the nursery progresses forward.
To develop professionally by attending training courses and updating knowledge of new childcare practices. Keeping up-to-date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice.
To help cover staff in any area within the nursery due to absence through sickness, holiday or other unforeseeable circumstances.
