    Chorley
    Up to £25,000
    Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm
    KPI have the pleasure of working with this family run business based in the heart of Chorley, who have been established and growing for over 65 years. They are a leading supplier across the Northwest and pride themselves on being the best within their industry.
    They now have an exciting opportunity to introduce a Credit Controller into the business, therefore I am now actively looking for someone who is enthusiastic about developing their skillset and succeeding in their career, as well as strives for continuous improvement. My client is hoping to grow their business substantially and this role will come with great opportunities in the near future for the right person. You will be joining the Accounts Department and will be a part of a small team of 4, so it's important that you gel well within the team. This will require confidence, motivation and the ability to hit the ground running from the get-go. You will need to have excellent Excel skills and have the ability to communicate confidently and effectively.
    This position would suit an individual who is keen and dedicated to making this job their own, it is a varied role and will grow with time and present opportunities for you to take on more responsibilities and new challenges, with guidance and training from senior members of the business.
    This business is currently working a 40hr weeks, starting at 8.30am finish at 5pm with 1/2hr for lunch. However, this will be changing in Q1 of 2023 to 37.5hr per weeks, with more flexibility to hours, as long as they fit in with department requirements.
    Key Responsibilities:
    Chasing overdue debt by telephone and email
    Cash posting and allocation
    Sending copy invoices and statements to customers
    Setting up new customer accounts including a credit safe report
    Credit notes and cash sale refunds
    Month end reconciliations
    Trade referral scheme
    Support to the Purchase Ledger function
    Liaising with the bank and credit insurance on a daily basis
    Franking of post
    Respond to any queries or issues over telephone and email, demonstrating effective communication skills
    Any ad hoc duties as required
    Requirements to be considered for the Credit Controller position:
    Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    Attention to detail is vital for this type of role
    Motivated and reliable
    Fully IT literate (including Excel) and able to pick up new systems quickly
    Able to work confidently both independently and as part of a team
