About the role:
As a Teacher at Leaways School, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will plan, assess and deliver outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable all young people to learn, whilst ensuring that pastoral needs are also met. You will establish excellent relationships with parents and carers and inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, families and other professionals.
About you:
For this role, we are looking for someone who holds QTS, you might even be newly qualified and ideally you will have experience of working with children with SEND and ASC. With a proven ability to deliver high quality, lively and effective primary/secondary teaching, which engages and motivates young people, you ll be someone who has a passion for supporting them to learn and develop, and you ll want to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. Leaways School, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist day school in Clapton, for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 17. The school provides a safe learning environment for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs including autism and an EHC Plan. We also have a dedicated primary unit taking children from 7 years old. We aim to offer as close to a mainstream experience as possible but provide the additional care and support needed around each young person to enable them to thrive.
