A major global law firm with a sector-driven and technology-focused approach, needs an experienced Business Development Executive to support the marketing and business development team on the implementation of a wide range of marketing and BD initiatives on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
Based in either Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol or Sheffield, you will enjoy a broad role and will have the flexibility to choose to work either full-time or part-time, for a minimum of three days per week. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team supporting an integrated global group comprising the Energy, Projects and Construction Practice Group and the Energy and Infrastructure Sectors. These market leading groups work for some of the firm's largest clients on high profile and first of a kind projects, transactions and disputes. On the business development side, the Senior Business Development Executive will support key account management and will be responsible for pitching to existing and prospective clients. The role holder will also be responsible for maintaining the firm's databases. From a marketing perspective, you will coordinate and promote thought leadership and prepare marketing materials and communications. In addition, the successful applicant will support the timely production of directory and awards submissions and help with the execution of BD events.
With a proactive and can-do approach, the ideal candidate will have previous marketing and BD experience ideally gained within a professional services environment. The Senior Business Development Executive will possess a high attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills and will be confident in dealing with colleagues at all levels. A strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise as needed will be key to success. To flourish in this challenging role, you will also need the ability to analyse complex information and be able to pull out and present the key points concisely.
