A highly successful and rapidly expanding technology based business are looking for a qualified chartered accountant to join the business as Financial Reporting Manager. This role would suit an ACA qualified who either has experience within a commercial environment or an ACA looking for their first move out of an accountancy practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed monthly performance and position reporting including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting packs, cash flow, CAPEX and performance analysis
- Ownership of stock reporting and policies and procedures, including stock reconciliation, process notes and WIP reconciliation
- Provide financial and decision support for the UK business and assist in the development of customer margin analysis
- Ownership of service/software Masterfile and revenue recognition Ownership of monthly commodity pricing review
- Collate payroll info and ensure appropriate authorisation obtained prior to submission to outsourced payroll provider
- Preparation of monthly commission schedules for UK commercial team. Preparation and first sign off on all UK payroll calculations
- Provide ad hoc support and advice to staff on payroll and HR related matters
- Maintain Roubler data for all employee records including new starters and terminations
- Ensure controls and processes are in place to capture the transactions of the business appropriately and accurately
- Oversight of AP, to include first review of weekly domestic and international pay runs and execution of FX trades
- Strong cost control to ensure wise spend decisions
- Maintain and update daily cashflow reporting and forecasting
- Support all compliance needs for Audit, VAT, corporation tax, national insurance, R&D, pensions and insurance
- Preparation of quarterly VAT submission
- Assist with the UK annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process from a finance perspective
- Partnering with FC to support ERP optimisation Maintain the accuracy of inventory accounting
- Actively contribute to improving the current credit control process working closely with the Financial Assistant to ensure customers pay in a timely manner
Requirements:
- ICAEW/ACA qualified
- Preferably trained within a large audit firm
- Good commercial acumen
- A highly driven and ambitious person
- Excellent communication skills
