CAD DESIGNER

One of the fastest growing interior fit out companies based in Hertfordshire is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team.

The role:

Our client is a well-established, progressive and innovative firm, specialists in the manufacturing and installation of furniture in the education space.

As the CAD Designer you will bridge the gap between sales facing interior design and delivery focused technical design. The role would facilitate the timely and successful delivery of projects on site, once you have produced construction drawings that have been co-ordinated so that the different elements/subcontractor packages work together.

As CAD Designer your responsibilities will include:

• Work with pre-contracts manager and interior designer to 'build' the project.
• Undertaking detailed site surveys
• Organise site visits with subcontractors and external designers to discuss design and budgets.
• Create effective solutions to any technical design issues.
• Produce construction packs
• Attend internal handover meetings between pre-contracts and operations to support the handover of information.

CAD Designer - What we are looking for

• Knowledge in Construction and Design
• UK Driving License Essential
• IT literate with knowledge of AutoCAD & Sketchup
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• A confident communicator
• Strong team orientated approach
