    The purpose of this role is to design, develop and implement a health and safety strategy as the business prepares to move to a custom-built facility in 2025. The Health and Safety Manager will ensure the company complies with current health and safety legislation.

    Description

    • Design a robust H&S strategy that fits the needs of the new facility
    • Ensure the company's H&S policy is implemented consistently across the organisation
    • Support the existing team to decommission the current site in line with current H&S practices
    • Ensure all colleagues and third parties on the site are aware of H&S practices and company's policy
    • Identify employee training needs in relation to health and safety and execute the relevant training where required
    • Support managers to maintain safe systems of work and implement best practice
    • Carry out audits to evaluate the effectiveness of H&S systems and procedures, identify and implement improvements
    • To investigate or assist others to investigate the circumstances and causes of accidents and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence

    Profile

    • In depth understanding and practical application of Health & Safety Legislation
    • In depth knowledge of QMS systems
    • Ability to provide detailed reporting and analysis of any incidents on site in conjunction with corrective action plans
    • Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer focus
    • Proven leadership and coaching skills
    • Competent user of all MS Office Packages
    • Willingness to tackle challenges to solve problems
    • Great attention to detail and ability to multi-task

    Job Offer

    Working M-F, core business hours with a basic of £50k.
