    Job Title: Assistant Directorate Manager - 37.5 hrs per week

    About the Trust

    Manchester Royal Infirmary is located on Oxford Road, and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport. There is onsite parking (Fees will apply) in the multi storey car parks on Grafton Street and Hathersage Road. There is a café where drinks and light snacks are available.

    What you'll be responsible for:

    • Contribute towards the procurement and maintenance of all physical assets, reporting to the Directorate Manager.
    • Contribute, with the Divisional Director and Directorate Manager, to the development of annual budgets, identifying potential opportunities to generate additional income or to reduce expenditure.
    • Participate in capital schemes/equipment planning with the Directorate Manager, liaising with relevant departmental leads.
    • Ensure budgetary management controls and monitoring is in place and in accordance with Standing Financial Instructions.
    • Manage specific budgets as the budget holder, as delegated by the Directorate Manager.
    • Assist in the formulation of service level agreements for the Division.
    • Supporting the Directorate Manager, ensure that the Division has effective systems in place for recouping all income generated from internal and external sources.
    • Significantly contribute to the implementation of service level reporting within the Division.

    You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

    • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
    • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
    • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

    You'll have the following skills/experience:

    • Knowledge of CLW desirable, Excel and formulas, can write performance reports
    • Experience within similar role
    • Excellent organisational skills
    • Excellent customer service
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent telephone manner
    • Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
