Responsibilities:
- Develop complex contract cost models for use in contract documentation, ensuring compliance with project requirements and all relevant contractual regulations
- Measure, validate, and recommend monthly valuations/payments, including additional work requests, ensuring accuracy and budget compliance
- Support the assessment and settlement of contractor claims throughout the contracts, providing expert guidance to the project team
- Chair early warning/risk review meetings and provide advice on potential disputes, ensuring efficient contract management
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in large-scale construction projects such as HS2 or Highways England
- RICS member, demonstrating a strong knowledge of the profession
- Public procurement expertise, specifically in capital projects for governmental agencies
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
