Planning Lawyer - £50p/h - 3 Months - Surrey Based/Remote Parity Group are delighted to partner with our client, a prestigious public sector organisation, who is looking to recruit a Planning Lawyer on an initial 3-month contract basis. This role is based in Surrey, with the option for hybrid or remote working. You will receive a competitive hourly rate of up to £50. The successful candidate for this role will be required to support the management of a group of lawyers in identified work areas according to business need, the main responsibilities including: Provide support, direction and expert legal advice to the organisation, its members, officers and committees. Manage a full, varied, demanding and more complex caseload and deliver innovative solutions with minimal supervision. Support the Monitoring Officers in respect of their duty to advise the organisation of any illegality or procedural default to enable the matter to be investigated. Contributing to the training of staff within the organisation and to the wider partner authorities to ensure that they are kept up to date with the law and emerging issues.I would love to speak with you if you have a background in Law and Planning, with the skills and experience including: Degree or equivalent, or significant vocational experience showing development in a series of progressively more demanding relevant work/roles. Professional qualification or evidence of high-level understanding of relevant business disciplines. Extensive and comprehensive knowledge of computerised business systems, able to promote the use of IT systems within the service. Extensive knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures relating to business planning and financial and organisational management. Proven ability to manage a wide range of complex projects or programmes. Significant work experience at management level in one or more relevant specialist areas. Demonstrable experience in successful recruiting, managing, coaching, and developing of staff.
