Our client is seeking a permanent chef who can work in this fresh food kitchen. Predominantly straight daytime shifts 8am/9am 5pm/6pm, then a few evening shifts a month finishing around 9.30pm/10pm. • Working for an independent owner who has created a warm, friendly fresh food café serving breakfasts, light lunches, and afternoon teas. • We are looking for a chef that has good solid experience working with fresh food, a chef that can make their own scones, pizzas, sausage rolls and fresh desserts • The role will involve ensuring the kitchen health & hygiene standards are maintained at all times, stocks are managed and liaison with local suppliers to ensure costs and quality are in line. • This busy café can do a lot of covers in the height of summer, being quite seasonal the numbers in winter the numbers tend to be less, so we need a chef that is self - motivated and proactive especially in the quieter months. The Person: Passionate about food and enjoy cooking to give pleasure to others Good time-management Excellent communication skills Able to work with a team Have experience as a Commis Chef or CDP or are a driven Kitchen Assistant looking for career development.
