Join a world lead in mail and good shipping as a Road Transport Controller. This is an 8 month contract, with the potential for permanent (but not guaranteed).
THE ROLE:
- You will be working as a Road Transport Controller, responsible for providing support for the transportation network and identifying performance
- Your analysis will also be given to senior management to support decision-making
- Monitoring that the services provided by road transportation carriers are within the company's expectations
- Support the implementation of new carriers
- You must ensure that all relevant systems are updated with correct rates and schedules
- You will also ensure that all relevant daily reports are correctly updated and shared with relevant parties
- Support the Head of Network Operations in daily carrier management and support the transport team with and day to day tasks as well as holiday and sick cover
- The role naturally involves data gathering, analysis and interpretation, developing and maintaining transport models, and delivering reports.
- This is a hybrid role, working 1-2 days a week in the office. The Hounslow office environment is informal, spacious, fun, and open plan.It's a vibrant, happy, and productive environment with innovative thinkers who value and encourage opinions.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Traffic office or line-haul management experience is preferred
- You will be an analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong IT skills are a must
- Confident dealing with different stakeholders, including at a senior level.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
- £25,000 - £27,000, dependent on experience
- 25 days holiday + public holidays
