Are you a recent grad with some customer service experience looking to launch a career within the charity sector and make a difference? You might be a psychology graduate looking for experience supporting vulnerable people. You will be working for the leading regeneration charity in London working on a specialist project that supports local people gain green skills and green jobs. London has a problem with the green economy - short of staff and not enough skilled people. Woking within a team, and shadowing an Advice and Guidance worker, you will be working across a number of London boroughs to talk to local residents about green skills qualifications (anything from horticulture to hedge trimming) and job opportunities within grounds maintenance or recycling. The main focus of your role will be supporting the Advice and Guidance worker to talk to people about the jobs and qualifications on offer, sign people onto the programme and engage with other charity partners. It s likely you will also be involved in some advice and guidance around careers and education. This is a 4-month contract. Although short term, it will lead you into plenty of other opportunities within education, employability, and outreach charity work so it s a great platform to launch your career if the charity space is where you want to be. Please note we have 2 roles. One covering Central London boroughs (Wandsworth, Lambeth, Southwark, Westminster and City).
