Chef Rugeley £11.42 per hour Please note this will increase after probation Permanent 40 hours per week Based in Rugeley An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a fantastic care company, working as a Chef within a stunning care home. My client is a manager of this 106 bedded service but only have 30 residents. As the chef, you should be an excellent team player, with the ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure in a diverse and busy environment. My client is looking for a team player who has multiple experiences within catering. The home have a fantastic induction programme and excellent training opportunities, with a focus on supporting staff to build long-term careers with the company. Full Job Description for this chef role is as follows: Title: Chef Location: Rugeley Main Tasks for a Chef: Preparing and delivering lunch and teatime meals to residents, that are healthy, appetising and well presented. To work with the kitchen staff as a part of a team, to meet quality assurance standards. To highlight to the Catering Manager any shortfalls in the service and suggestions as to how to overcome them. To be aware of Health & Safety responsibilities which fall within the role and the personal Health & Safety responsibilities within the HASAWA 1974. To assist as required with social functions that take place at the Home. To maintain levels of hygiene in the kitchen and restaurant areas, including food preparation and storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, cooking appliances and other kitchen equipment, to meet the requirements of the Environmental Health Regulations.
