An online retailer is looking to recruit a QA Technologist to work on their knock down / flat pack furniture range THE COMPANY A fast-moving retailer who sells a wide range of home and leisure products both D2C and B2B with offices in the UK and overseas. Their products are sold in many international countries including the UK, EU and other territories. Their home and leisure team is well established with a range of products customers rave about. Due to expansion of the team they are looking for a QA Technologist to join them and work on their knock down / flat pack furniture range. THE ROLE You will be responsible for delivering the quality strategy for your category ensuring legal, safe and fit for purpose products are available for customers, with the aim of reducing customer complaints, faulty returns and negative customer reviews Conduct product risk assessments, technical benchmarking, and user trials to ensure products meet brand guidelines Approve samples, packaging, copy, instruction manuals and relevant documentation in line with the critical path, meeting agreed timescales to deliver products for sale. Organise in line and pre shipment inspections Coordinate with testing houses and suppliers ensure your products are meeting standards complying with legislation in the UK and other countries Analyse returns and agree corrective action plans/improvements Provide technical advice and support to buying and customer service teams Report into the Quality Manager ABOUT YOU You will have demonstrable experience of working in a Quality-focused role. You may already be working as an established QA Technologist / Product Technologist or similar, or working as Assistant or Junior level and looking for a step up. You may have Retail Head Office or Manufacturing experience. You ll have good organisation skills, be able to manage your own workload and able to meet tight deadlines. Due to their location, you will need access to a car.
