With a multitude of benefits, and accreditations for their people wellbeing and employee engagement - this role is working for a company who holds their employees at the centre of everything they do.The Successful Supply Chain Co-ordinator will be responsible for overseeing the departments ordering, monitoring of ship dates, and arranging shipment, clearance, and delivery of the outsourced imports. The position will be working across the group supply chain, and whilst based in Stoke, will require ad-hoc travel a site in the north on an ad-hoc basis - possibly once per month.Key Responsibilities Work with the existing team to arrange, approve and monitor shipments for all markets Prepare import documentation for sea freights, airfreights, and courier consignments. Schedule and book containers deliveries with the warehouse team, check receipt of all stock delivered, ensuring 100% accuracy and query any discrepancies and credit notes. Plan, schedule, and action materials supply to equal demand. Continuously monitor and verify materials pipeline to ensure it meets requirements. Identify and appropriately address materials supply issues, ensuring material availability to support production with on-time delivery and coordination of materials movement through receiving to production. Raise purchase orders. Optimize the overall cost of materials, and make sourcing decisions based on overall cost and benefit, including price, duty, freight, flexibility, service, performance, quality, and terms & conditions. Forward and monitor invoices for payment. Monitor open order book, ensuring suppliers are on schedule with shipments, communicating to the business if there are any delays, and ensuring the system reflects the most accurate up to date information regarding in stock arrival dates. Monitor, track and give feedback on suppliers' performance in order to continuously improve supplier's delivery, service and quality and service performance. Address and resolve recurring or critical issues by utilizing corrective action tools and additional resources.In order to be successful in this role you will: Have previous experience in a similar role (buying, demand planning, logistics, supply chain or similar) MRP reporting experience. Proficient in Microsoft Excel Have the ability to multitask and work under pressure. Able to communicate to all levels.
