    Job Role: Nurse (General)

    Job Location: Newcastle up on Tyne

    Salary: Up to £25.22 - £44.83

    Hours: Full Time and Part Time Hours available

    Shifts Days, Nights, Earlies, Lates

    Servoca Locum Nurses provide safe, effective, efficient care environment for service users within the Nursing Homes we supply. They are responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care under indirect supervision from senior nursing staff.

    Nurses main duties and responsibilities:

    • Assessing, observing, and speaking to service users
    • Recording details and symptoms of service users medical history and current health
    • Preparing service users for exams and treatment
    • Administering medications and treatments, then monitoring service users for side effects and reactions
    • Creating, implementing, and evaluating service users care plans with the medical team
    • Performing wound care, such as cleaning and bandaging them
    • Assisting in medical procedures as needed
    • Operating and monitoring medical equipment
    • Drawing blood, urine samples, and other body fluids for lab work
    • Educating service users and family members on treatment and care plans, as well as answering their questions
    • Supervising licensed practical and vocational nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students

    Nurse Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a registered nurse
    • Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
    • Excellent knowledge of emergency care
    • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
    • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Responsible and compassionate
    • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
    • Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
    • BSc or other diploma from a nursing program
    • NHS experience is advantageous
    • Valid NMC
