    This is a wonderful opportunity to work for a well-established housing maintenance company working within social housing sector.

    Our client are looking for experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team in the Chingford area.

    Your new role

    Joining the team as a Warehouse Manager, you will ensure that stock is maintained effectively; completing stock takes, completing stock orders, loading / unloading deliveries and supporting the Operatives with any loading/unloading where required, including for waste disposal. Other duties include:

    • Organise/ separate out deliveries in the main loading area for distribution to other areas of the business if required.
    • Correspond with suppliers when anomalies occur with deliveries and communicate these with Purchases team/management.
    • Undertake regular stock takes and regular assessment of stock volumes necessary to deliver a smooth operation.
    • Ensure all work areas and surfaces are clean and tidy as is practical at all times, especially at the end of the day/shift.
    • Assist operatives in purchasing materials from our suppliers by raising a PO for them and communicate with them via email and phone.
    • Ensure Operatives sign the collection receipt which is to highlight any previously identified issues/damage.
    • Test all equipment that is returned to the stores by the operatives and identify any issues. Damage to the operative which is to be log of their returns form.
    • Ensure Waste Disposal Vehicle is kept maintained and secured at all times.

    The ideal Warehouse Manager

    The successful candidate must have:

    • A UK driving licence.
    • Previous experience in the same or similar environment.
    • Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Can do attitude.
    • Be a strong team player.
    • Full time availability.

    What our client offer:

    • Salary of £13 - £16 per hour, dependant on experience
