Sopra Steria have an excellent opportunity for an experienced
Front End Developer, covering the full creative digital spectrum across
projects, you'll be joining the Government Architecture and Engineering Centre
of Expertise (CoE) to deliver focused, innovative solutions to a range of
government clients along with supporting our wider portfolio of clients across
the UK. This role calls for an individual with excellent front end experience
and a desire to continue personal and professional development. Sitting in the
CoE you will be pivotal in driving best practice and high standards among the
This role is hybrid and so can be done from home
with occasional travel into one of our offices based in London Edinburgh, Hemel
Hempstead or Salford Quays.
What you'll be doing:
- Accountable for developing and implementing new and revised
services and migration code
- Identify and raise technical risks
- Working cooperatively with the scrum team to achieve high quality
What you'll bring:
Experienced with some of the primary technologies used:
- React, Redux, Node, working in AWS/Azure Cloud environments
- Solution tools: Python; MongoDB; Redis; GeoServer;
PostgreSQL; Java; Apache servers; Argocd (to automate deployment of images to
the OpenShift Cluster); SendGrid
- Working with Git based distributed version control systems
- Thorough understanding of the Software Development
Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to
Agile or iterative SDLCs
