    • Collaborating with both financial and non-financial staff to ensure the production and delivery of accurate accounts, forecasts and budgets
    • Being the primary point of contact and support to External and Internal auditors, providing all accounting and financial reports and documents needed, and coordinating submissions by other finance and operational teams
    • Providing support to the Group Financial Controller for the development and co-ordination of the requirements of month end ledger control, ensuring that all balance sheet transactions initiated by the team (e.g. accruals) are reconciled monthly and that all transactions are appropriately represented in the ledgers
    • Acting as subject matter expert on technical financial accounting standards, evaluating a company's financial transactions to ensure they comply with generally accepted accounting principles and reviewing financial statements to pinpoint possible fraud and errors

    • A professional and logical approach to problem solving with strong analytical skills
    • Strong initiative, curiosity and drive with the ability to work to deadlines and maintain high attention to detail
    • Ability to build lasting relationships with stakeholders and demonstrate strong influencing skills
    • To be highly numerate and computer literate with strong Microsoft skills covering Word and Excel
    • Knowledge of SORP for Housing Associations would be advantageous but is not essential
