    Rate of pay: £10.30 per hour

    Type: Full or part time hours available

    About Swanton House

    Swanton Care Centre - Swanton House is set in delightful, mature grounds extending to some 22 acres in North Norfolk. We are registered to support up to 49 individuals within our 3 smaller separate homes, each one can offer both residential and nursing care to the people we support.

    The role:

    The Cook will provide, manage and develop a high quality catering service for the people they support, operate a safe, professional and cost effective catering service complying with all statutory requirements .

    Key Responsibilities:

    Create nutritious well-balanced menus using, when possible, fresh, quality and seasonal produce. The menus will meet all dietary requirements and be created in consultation with the people they support, relatives and staff.

    Prepare, cook and present all meals attractively.

    Supervise food delivery and presentation to the people they support, and if requested the delivery of meal trays to rooms and the timely collection of meal trays.

    Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen. Monitor, record and audit.

    Keep stock secure at all times storing foodstuffs appropriately and maintain accurate records. Avoid unnecessary wastage and deterioration of foodstuffs.

    Ensure equipment is used appropriately and for its' designed use. Report any equipment defects and withdraw from use immediately.

    Comply with company policy in terms of Food Safety and Health and Safety completing and storing all records as necessary.

    Maintain, implement and review company procedures and processes as appropriate.
