    The Role

    We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join the Tapi Board and partner with the senior executive team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide financial and commercial leadership, offer insights and robust challenges to drive the achievement of organisational goals and objectives. As the Finance Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, processes, and control environment within the business.

    About You!

    • You will be a fully qualified professional accountant (ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent).
    • You will have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years as a Finance Director (or similar senior finance role) within a multi-site omnichannel retail organisation. Having a bachelor s degree in Finance/Accounting is a plus!
    • Strong financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting skills. Solid understanding of financial statements, OKRs, and business metrics.
    • Direct responsibility for analysis and review of cash flow, working capital and capital expenditure.
    • You will be a strategic thinker with proven ability to align financial strategies with broader business objectives.
    • You will have experience contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
    • You will be a natural leader and have demonstrated success in leading & developing Finance teams.
    • Your interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others are second to none.
    • You love data and can identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. If you have experience with data visualisation that is even better.
    • You are familiar with risk assessment & control frameworks.
    • You have experience implementing and maintaining financial controls to mitigate risks.
    • You have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and are able to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
    • You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • You don t shy away from technology and are proficient in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite. Experience with advance financial software is an advantage.

    The Responsibilities

    Financial Leadership

    Provide strategic financial leadership by collaborating with senior executives to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the organization's goals. Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across multiple sites and channels.

    Commercial Insight

    Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and industry developments to provide actionable insights that inform business decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and profitability through data-driven recommendations.

    Business Partnering

    Build strong relationships across the organization, partnering with operational and functional leaders to provide financial guidance, drive performance improvements, and support strategic initiatives.

    Risk Management

    Oversee the establishment and maintenance of robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and measures.

    Financial Reporting

    Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Communicate financial results and insights to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

    Team Leadership

    Manage and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering professional development and a culture of continuous improvement. Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

    Strategic Planning

    Contribute to the development of the organization's strategic plans by providing financial expertise and insights. Assist in evaluating potential investment opportunities, acquisitions, and partnerships.

    Process Enhancement

    Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and streamline workflows.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as auditors, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions, to ensure transparent and effective communication.
