SEN Teaching Assistant Teaching Personnel are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant in Norwich. This role will include working with children with SEMH. Your role will be assisting teachers with maintaining class behaviour and keeping up the performance standards of the classroom. We are looking for an individual who is able to support children with challenging behaviours and remain adaptable to any situation due to the nature of the roles and responsibilities of the role and how varied they can be. Those who have previous care experience/Social workers/ Support worker are encouraged to apply for this role. Roles and Responsibilities: Supervising small group activities. De-escalate challenging situations with a holistic approach. Undertake support activities for the teacher as required. Delivery of SEN interventions. Some desirable attributes for the role are as follows: Good organisational skills. A passion for working with children. Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant recent experience. Flexibility and adaptability. Caring nature. Positive and energetic attitude. Experience of behaviour management. An up-to-date child only workforce DBS on the update service is a key requirement for all applicants (we can assist with this).
