    Capability Development Manager Our Business Support teams deliver the vital services to ensure the continued success of our business divisions. These services include HR, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Legal and Commercial, Estates and Facilities, Core Technology, Corporate Security, IT, and Fleet. Reporting to the Director you will take on the responsibility for the end-to-end learning and development process within our rail business unit. This will include building development and retraining programs to deploy people from all industries as skilled resources on to our projects, taking responsibility for maintaining our training and accreditation competencies and encouraging collaboration and the sharing of knowledge within the business. This role offers a flexible working location however travel to Telents offices in Chorley and Warwick is required. What you'll do: Working with the functional heads of delivery to identify training and development needs and new product development training packages, assess skills gaps in line with forecasted work and trends within the business Commission the most effective and efficient ways to develop and deliver the right learning solutions for the division, such as mentoring, classroom training, 1-2-1 sessions and e-learning. Implement, manage and maintain accurate training, certificate and accreditation records through an effective e-2-e Learning Management Software. Deliver effective apprenticeship & Graduate programmes in conjunction with HR and external associations such as local business, customers and colleges To own the plan and co-ordination with training providers (internal & external) to deliver required outputs at the required time to meet mobilisation needs.Who you are: You will have a background in a Training and Development as well as experience working closely with Graduates and Apprentices within the business. This will ideally be in the Transport / Telecoms / Utilities / M&E Construction or any other relevant industry. Key Requirements: Experience of designing and delivering a variety of training solutions Experience working in an L&D position, and experience working with young people Proven experience and understanding of managing learning and development programs Demonstrable emotional intelligence for the complexity, challenge and pressures on people working in a UK Technology Service environment Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to bring together diverse groups.What we offer: A career at Telent can span many sectors, roles, technologies and clients giving you the opportunity to develop, learn new skills and make an impact.
