We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Role
As an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for implementing and managing various planned works typically upgrades, initiatives and similar pre-planned improvements.
Alongside providing planned project works you will provide a more responsive role to ensure the production plant continues to operate in a safe and efficient manner. Typically, fault finding and troubleshooting electrical and control system issues across the whole spectrum of equipment, plant and processes that we have onsite, but as required cross over to offer mechanical fitting competencies to support others within the engineering team.

Pre-Planned Maintenance Activities
Assist with Site Testing and Commissioning of new or modified systems, developed and implemented either by Thatchers Engineering Team or Third-Party Sub-Vendors.
Co-ordinate and manage third party sub-contractors delivering services such as electrical installations, control panel manufacture, systems integration, building controls and service contracts

About You
Demonstrable experience and expertise of the outlined responsibilities above, in an industrial setting.
Ideally have experience in maintaining and overseeing such automation equipment as drives & motors, sensors, control systems, robots and machinery in general.
Demonstrate a level of competence with accessing and fault finding of PLC control systems.
Competence in configuration and set-up Automation Equipment such as Inverter Drives, Motor Control, Safety Systems, Pneumatics
Ability to understand and plan modifications to electrical schematics, pneumatic drawings etc.
Have a flexible approach to working in situations where you may find yourself working solely responsible for a particular task or in a team with similar or different trades/disciplines.
Be a 'Team Player' with a positive outlook and self-motivated manner, liaising effectively with others internal or external to the business.
