    Employment Coach (HMP Chelmsford) Full Time, Permanent 35 hours per week Chelmsford - £23,316.00 per annum. We deliver IAG services in 18 prisons and are dedicated to delivering impartial and independent careers advice to prisoners in custody. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Advisor/Coach to oversee and deliver this exciting service. Responsibilities Employment Coach: As a Prison Employment Coach/IAG Advisor, you will be empowering prison learners to succeed in their personal and professional development. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting inductions and creating Digital Personal Learning Plans for prison learners. Assisting in the allocation of learners to appropriate educational courses and prison employment opportunities. Delivering employability workshops and supporting careers fairs. Collaborating with the Employment Hub to facilitate prisoners' transition to jobs or apprenticeships in the community upon release. Ensuring compliance with high-quality standards outlined in the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework. Going above and beyond to deliver a high-quality IAG service that truly makes a difference. Qualifications and Skills Employment Coach: We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills: Experience in providing one-to-one and group careers advice/IAG services. Previous experience working in a prison environment and collaborating with HM Prison Service (HMPS) and external providers such as Jobcentre Plus (JCP). Proven ability to work to targets and adhere to quality standards within the skills, education, or employability sector. Exceptional motivation and the ability to inspire and empower clients and learners to progress in their lives. Strong multitasking abilities to effectively manage a diverse caseload of clients or learners. Excellent communication skills, including the capacity to motivate and inspire others. A solid understanding of the Matrix Standard and Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF). Tenacity in approaching tasks and a deep understanding of how employers recruit and select based on talent. Proficiency in administration, IT, and organizational skills, including experience with MS Office software and management information systems (e.g., NOMIS).
